Joost Klein to Represent the Netherlands at Eurovision 2024
Dutch singer Joost Klein has been selected to represent the Netherlands at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
Klein was announced as the Dutch representative on 16th January 2024, and will perform the song "Europapa" in Liverpool.
Klein is a 27-year-old singer-songwriter from Rotterdam. He rose to fame in 2022 after releasing his debut single "Ik ben Joost". Klein has since released several other singles and an EP, and has performed at a number of festivals and events.
The Netherlands has a strong track record at the Eurovision Song Contest, having won the competition five times. The country's most recent victory came in 2019, when Duncan Laurence won with the song "Arcade".
The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Liverpool, UK, on 10th May 2024. The competition will feature 37 countries, including the Netherlands.
